Preparing for the Ballot
We are now to the point where we either need to gather the signatures required under Florida law to be allowed on the ballot, or we must collect donations to cover the ballot fee. Either one of these events brings to mind the ever annoying door to door solicators or donation letters.
While I would prefer that the election process didn't work in that manner, it does and with that, I need your help to get to there. There is a link on the right hand side of the page where you can donate, it is a secure site run by a company that has been used by other candidates in the past. You can use this link for the Signature form:

If we can get enough signatures from those who are registered voters of the 12th District, we can use any money collected to help get our message out, otherwise any money collected would need to be put forth to that end.

Party Announcement
After much deliberation, thought, consulting with friends and soul searching, I have decided that I can no longer abide by the politics of the Republican Party. They are no longer the party I joined back when I was 18.
As they have consistantly moved left in their governing model I have found myself on an ever increasing fringe of the party where the views I hold are no longer the same as the views of the party.
The recent purging of liberty minded individuals and the continued actions of the Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida have aided in this decision a great deal. Like many other Republicans on the stage, they have forgotten what it means to be a Republican and to protect the Republic they have sworn to uphold.
Right now, both major parties (Democrats and Republicans) are anti liberty parties, they both seek to increase the power of the government on the people. Albeit in different ways, but the result is the same as the freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard for get eaten away.
That and many other reasons have lead me to join the one party that does believe in the freedom of the American People, the Libertarian Party. It was not a decision I came to easily or quickly. I've been struggling over this decision for the past several years, greatly heightened by my candidacy. I feel the time is right to make this move as we need to move quickly if we intend to return the country back to its state of liberty.
